Stammnian War 221
The Stammnian War was fought between the heathen bronze age Kingdom of Stammnia and two Imperial colonies, Linporth and De La Crest. In this campaign the party (later called ‘The Forerunners of the Republic’) fought to defend the Imperial colonies from the barbarous Stamm, who sometimes were respectful occupiers and other times tortured children and engaged in mass executions. Moral high-ground was hard to find with the colonies resorting to large scale forced labor and the party themselves trying to commit genocide against the Stamm by purposely infecting them with the Bloody Pox.
The party eventually led the colonists in a revolt of their leaders and surrendered to the Stamm. Capitulating to them to end the war. The colonies become autonomous regions within the Kingdom of Stammnia. Because of this capitulation the church in the colonies, and the party in particular, were deemed heretics by the Church of Ignimius. Decades later the Republic of Edry was founded from the hybrid of the Stammnian culture and the two colonies, during which the local church was reintegrated into the Church of Ignimius.

Stammnian War 221-222
A war between the Stamm and two colonies located on the coast of the People’s Bay. One colony, Linporth, was founded by Gent the other, De La Crest was founded by Erend. During the Stammnian War the Stamm, under King Balicus the Undestructable, occupied most of the colonial territories. The Stamm were decimated by a plague during the war, see the Genocide of the Stamm. However, Linporth was also weakened when, with the help of the Forerunners of the Republic, Linporth rebelled against Gent. The Stammnian war ended with the Forerunners of the Republic agreeing to allow the colonies to become an autonomous province within Stammnia. They also agreed to allow the Old Way religion and the Church of Ignimius to operate side by side, for which the Church declared them, and the “church” in Stammnia heretical.

Genocide of the Stamm 221 to c223
During the Stammnian War Adny the Plague Bringer infected a Stamm army with the Bloody Pox, against the wishes of the rest of the Forerunners of the Republic. This plague quickly spread through the ranks of the Stamm army and eventually to all of Stammnia and the colonies. Adny stole and hoarded large quantities of medicinal herbs that could have been used to treat the plague victims. Many tens of thousands died, this reduction of the Stamm population allowed for the eventual founding of Edry.

Forerunners of the Republic c222
Made up of Alonne the High Priest of Edry, Quinn the Werebat, Parson Tayo, Parson Josiah (a member of the Merciful Order), and Adny the Plague Bringer, this group was responsible for some of the only victories against the Stamm in the Stammnian War. However, they ultimately capitulated to the Stamm and came to be seen as traitors and villains by most of the world. In 276 the Kingdom of Stammnia was reorganized into the Republic of Edry and the Accommodationists were declared to be no longer heretics. By the year 300 all the members of the Forerunners of the Republic, except Adny the Plague Bringer were common objects of veneration.

Accommodationists 222 to 276
The Stammnian War ended when the Forerunners of the Republic and Balicus the Undistructable agreed to make the colonies subject to Balicus’ rule allowing all the subjects of Stammnia to choose between The Church of Ignimius and the Old Way. This acceptance of the Old Way violates the core precepts of the Church of Ignimius. All the priests and church members who capitulated to this peace were declared heretics. High Priest Alonne was the first leader of the Accommodationists. By 276 the culture of Stammnia had shifted away from the Old Way and the Republic of Edry was formed, the Accommodationists were integrated into the Church of Ignimius, disavowing their past accommodation of the Old Way in exchange for retroactively declaring present and past Accommodationists to no longer be heretics.

Adny the Plague Bringer 203 to 221, 221 to 221, 221 to 222
A member of the Forerunners of the Republic, Adny was often at odds with the rest of the group. For example, when he purposely infected a Stamm army with the Bloody Pox, killing tens of thousands of Stamm soldiers and civilians. Earning his epitaph. This would come to be called the Genocide of the Stamm. When the Forerunners of the Republic made peace with Balicus they agreed to allow Adny to be executed, but Balicus exiled him instead as a show of good faith. After this Adny returned the Great City of Urna and renounced wizardry and his quasi-pact with Nurgyl, possibly being genuinely repentant. However, soon after he was killed by cultists for renouncing Nurgyl.
